A great family day out

The ARU Community Centenary Festival of Rugby was held at the Army Rugby Stadium, Queens Ave, Aldershot on 29 April 2007. The day was a great familt day and included:

• Re-enactment of 1908 Army Cup Final (1st Bn Leicestershire Regt v 1st Bn Welch Regt)
• Rugby 7's Tournament for local Men's, Ladies' and Youth Teams (Youth age groups 13/14, 15/16, 17/18)

Re-enactment of 1908 Army Cup Final

In the 1908 Army Cup competition the two finalists were 1st Bn The Leicestershire Regiment and 1st Bn Welch Regiment. In that match the 1st Bn The Leicestershire Regiment beat the 1st Bn Welch Regiment 5pts to 4. Below are some photos of the re-enactment match played on 29 April 2007:
