The Centenary celebrations got off to a surprise start in Malaysia. It happened when the Army Tens were competing in the Cobra Malaysia International Tens 2006.

To the Team's astonishment the event organisers were kind enough to recognise that this season is the ARU's centenary season, so the team, on the traditional march past, were presented with a magnificent birthday cake decorated with the centenary motif, a very kind gesture which was only capped by a crowd of some 6,000 singing a very hearty 'Happy Birthday'!

Ben Hughes (Team Captain) was given the honour of cutting the cake.
