Stephen Worgan writes:

I was just looking through some old photographs of my Grandfather's life and came across this one, did some research and came across the Army Rugby website. I see the winners are there but thought you might like a photo of the runners up 1st battalion the Gloucestershire Regiment of which my Grandfather was a proud and active member for much of his formative years. His name was Walter Rose and he is the one with the cap middle of the back row and the only one without a moustache.

Rose

ARU comment:
The 1913 Army Cup was fought between the 2nd Bn Welch Regt and the 1st Bn Gloucestershire Regt, the Welch Regt won 9-3. A copy of the photograph is contained in the Mclaren's History of the Army Rugby, but the names the player identified by Stephen Worgan as Organ. (see listing above).
