The Army Women's Squad met at ATR Winchester for this final game of the season and having had a very hard match against the NZ Army.

Training went well over the two days and there was a buzz around the coaches and squad. Team selection was interesting and eyebrows raised when Gareth read out the squad.

So with all the hard work done it was time for the girls to face the battle at Richmond Upon Thames College.

The Army kicked off and nerves told as the ball didn't go ten, scrum Navy. The Army then got into their rhythm, and led as ever from the front by LCpl Jessika Limbert (Captain). The Army started piling on the pressure and indeed the score, 34 up at half time, as always this season the squad worked hard to maintain their discipline and this obviously pay'ed of in the first half.

For once this season the weather was good and allowed the Army to run home their Game Plan, with the crowds growing, the Army relaxed and let the Navy score. However, this only spurred the Army on, and with Gareth making changes due to slight injuries the pressure mounted. The Army running 61-5 to the good.

As always the Squad's saying for the year CHAMPIONS NEVER QUIT was reinforced once again. They now look forward to Touring Canada in June, the first official Women's Tour for the ARU(W).
