Army Women (42) vs Shelford Women (0)
- 29 Jan 05

The Army Women Squad met at ATR Winchester to prepare for this fixture on Saturday 29th January 2005, training started slowly, but the squad soon got into their stride by the afternoon, led by the ever-present Army Captain LCpl Jessika Limbert. In the afternoon the squad was in full swing of what was required to beat Shelford. However with one casualty.

Shelford Ladies logoThe squad met at Shelford and tried to find the pitch they would be playing on, under the hundreds of youngsters there and indeed the pitches out of bounds. With kick of loaming and the RFU(W) Regional Trials going on around the Club, the coaches soon started preparing the squad for the game in hand.

The Army started the game at high standard and pace, and manage to maintain this despite some very strong attacks from the Shelford Backs. The second half started much the same as the first and even thou a number of replacements were made, the pace was maintained and the Army continued to put the pressure onto Shelford running out comfortable winners 42-0.

Results: Army Women 42 Shelford Women 0
