Royal Scots Sevens Tournament

The 1st Battalion Royal Scots, the oldest Infantry Regiment of the Line in the British Army, will bring more than just their ability to operate in any theatre in the world to bear as they again host the Royal Scots Sevens tournament on 14 May 2005 at Edinburgh's Dreghorn Barracks.

The tournament, whose 1st Tie begins at 1:30pm, offers some of the best exponents of the sevens game competing against the majority of the Scottish Premiership sides and is a must see event.

Building on the success of their inaugural tournament last year there will be a host of entertainment both on and off the pitch.

The Royal Scots recognise that the qualities required to play good rugby have much in common with those skills needed by a professional Infantry soldier, namely; fitness, self-confidence, team work, controlled aggression, communication and decision-making under pressure.
