Up-dating the ARU Website
We want this site to reflect Army rugby as it happens, wherever it is being played. This we will achieve in 3 ways:
- The owners of the pages on this site must keep them up to date
and "live" by updating them at least every month and more often
if possible.
- Updates for the Representative, Community, Women's and Veteran's
pages must keep coming in.
- We want features on trials, match reports, tour details,
photos and player profiles and teams.
- We want to reflect how our key competitions are going, such
as the Army Rugby Union Premiership Cup, Army Rugby Union Community
Cup, The Inter Corps Competition. Corps and Unit Rugby Officers
representatives must send in match reports of their clashes.
- The Ground Rules for writing articles are simple:
- Before the game the teams are to agree who will write the
article, and make sure there is someone there to take digital
photos.
- Get details of the team sheets and officials recorded. If
you can get digital photos of the teams before the match even
better!
- Once the game is over get the article written and try to
agree on what happened, and what the end result was!
- Try to liven it up with interviews with Captains and Coaches
… and if possible the Referee! Post match photos are a bonus!
- Send the article to the ARU Secretary - Submission
instructions are given above.
- At grass roots level we want to provide a link between this
site and Corps and Unit team sites. Send us your details and we
will establish links straight from us to you. To do this contact
our ARU Secretary.
- The Website Editor will edit your submissions, choose the best
images, make sure they fit, and are not too controversial!
- Our Webmaster will normally get the site updated during the
working week within 36 hours of receiving your input from the
Website Editor, so you have no excuse for your page(s) being out-of-date!
