RFU Affiliation

  1. Membership of the RFU (Section 1 club) provides clubs with certain privileges such as the ability to apply for international match tickets, attend & vote at the RFU AGM and receive the RFU handbook and other publications free of charge.

  2. To become a member of the RFU clubs must provide the ARU with a list of at least 20 1st XV fixtures against at least 12 different clubs. This does not preclude clubs who are overseas on exercises or operations. Where this is the case the requirement of 20 fixtures against 12 different clubs will be reduced in direct proportion to the time spent overseas. Dates and locations of training/operations must be provided with your fixture list.
    • Fixture lists must be received by the Secretary ARU by 1 Dec 2009, failure to meet this deadline will result in the club being removed from the Section 1 list.
    • Download Fixture List Proforma (pdf 28kb) template including midweek dates for season 2009-10.
    • Note: All section 1 clubs must in the first instance be affiliated to the ARU and that club fixture lists will be audited by the RFU in January 2010.

  3. If your club is able to meet the above criteria the RFU affiliation fee (£20) will be met by the ARU.

  4. Download ARU Club Letter 2010-11 (pdf 48kb) - This contains full details about ARU/RFU affiliation and all the required forms

  5. If you have any doubts regarding affiliation, insurance or other health and safety issues, contact the ARU Secretary or on 01252 348573 or 94222 3573.
